The Defense Science Board released a report Tuesday, calling for the incoming Obama administration to focus on a small, albeit complex set of Defense issues.  The country’s protection against weapons of mass destruction should be the top priority for the new secretary of Defense, the report declared.

The board urged the new Defense leadership “to do everything possible to prevent the worst people from acquiring and using the worst weapons,” urging the new administration to pay close attention to the pressing issues outlined in the report.  Should the administration ignore the explained issues, the Board believes such inaction “could lead to future military failure.”
