Since 1999, Kahr Arms has been proud to support the legacy of the Auto-Ordnance Corporation, beginning with the production of an M1 Carbine replica in 2005.  The M1 Carbine came into popularity during WWII offering troops a better defensive weapon than a pistol or submachine gun, with great accuracy and range but without the recoil or weight of a full-power infantry rifle.

Now, Kahr Arms brings you the new AOM160 Auto-Ordnance M1 Carbine, a .30 caliber rifle with a black polymer folding stock and metal perforated handguard. Its overall length is 36 ½ inches and a compact 27 ½ inches when folded.  The AOM160 has a post front sight, flip style rear sight and includes one 15 round shot stick magazine. The Auto-Ordnance AOM160 is durable and easy to shoot, weighing only five pounds.  MSRP $792.00

Let’s hope it is reliable and doesn’t jam up like all the American made clones of the GI originals made in 70’s and 80’s.

30Carbine ammo is ridiculously expensive, compared to 5.56 / 223 , so it’s still a no go for me. Make mine a Mini 14

Choate machine & toole manufactures a tactical folding stock which is almost exactly the same one as this and accomodates all military M1’s. I carried one like that when I was serving in the Police in Israel and It’s am amazing weapon!

Guns are too hot to handle in this part of the world. It would be nice if I could place my order just the tactical folding stock model, metal handguard for M1 carbine. we have been shooting this convinient gun for years, and a handsome modification came to being. and we love just that.

I am wondering if they make a conversion kit for the M1 Carbine that sports the old wooden stocks? I have my fingers crossed. If not do you know of anyone who offers an item that turns the old work horse into a sleek looking wacking machien….
