I’ve had a pair of these boots now since April and I cannot tell you how much I love them. As a Border Patrol Agent, I punish these boots daily over some of the most inhospitable terrain imaginable. We’re known to drop about 1/3 of our uniform allowance on boots each year because none of the Danners we’re supplied with (Acadias or Strikers) will last any longer than a year. These Lowas stand up to the task brilliantly; sand, dirt, rocks, mud, water, snow, ice… you name it, they can take it. My only complaint is that they’re pricey at $400, but you can go directly through Lowa and get a military or law enforcement discount if you’re in either of those fields. They’re truly the best combat boots money can buy in my opinion.
