I have been using an AUG in the Pakistan Frontier Constabulary for the past 25 yearz, it is a wonderful and reliable weapon.

  • To bad this didn’t win the SOCOM PSR contract.

    • It’s not eligible for the PSR contract. The PSR called for a modular rifle capable of reaching beyond 1,500m and capable of handling the 7.62mm NATO, the .300 Winchester Magnum and the .338 Lapua Magnum. This is basically a really nice AR10 platform rifle. That means it can handle the 7.62mm, and could be modified to handle either the .300WSM or the .300RSAUM cartridge but could not be converted to anything with .338 Lapua ballistics. I like the rifle, and it may very well find its way into the hands of military snipers (although that is a position dominated by the LaRue Tactical OBR), but it is not a replacement for the PSR!

      • Did you not read the first paragraph of the article the M10 was one of the contesters for the contract it came down to two competitors Remington Defense’s MSR and Sako’s TRG
M10 with FNH USA’s Ballista rumored to be a competitive downselect. secondly if you did some reading on the M10 you would know that it can fire the .308 Win, .300 Win Mag and .338 Lapua Mag and is capable of firing beyond 1,500m.
