MEAN Arms has introduced their new Hybrid-15 rifle which features an integrated 7075-T6 (Mil-Spec) Aluminum/Composite AR-15 Lower Receiver.

New for 2014, MEAN Arms is introducing their new Hybrid-15 rifle. Click here to watch a strength test video of this new product. Chambered in 5.56mm NATO, the MEAN Hybrid-15 has a chrome-lined government profile barrel with a 1:7 twist, an A2 front sight, and a mil-spec trigger group, buffer tube and buttstock.

Perhaps most importantly, the Hybrid-15 incorporates MEAN’s 7075-T6 aluminum insert anodized to Mil-Spec standards and composite AR-15 lower receiver. The patent pending design features aircraft grade aluminum around the buffer tube area for increased strength, while the remaining lower is molded polymer which utilizes a special lightweight composite/fiberglass blend. The aluminum insert on the MEAN Hybrid-15 is designed to take the place of polymer, rather than reinforce it.

The American-made MEAN Hybrid-15 rifle also has includes a forward assist, an MOE forward handguard and flip-up rear sight, and two MOE magazines, as well as an M16 bolt carrier group, and an overall weight of 6.186 pounds.
