TACTICAL CUSTOMS | Tactical Knives Review

The Folding Side of Blade 2011: The trend in tactical folding knives at the 2011 Atlanta Blade Show seemed to be toward heavy-duty.

ZINKER FLIPPER: B24. Brad Zinker’s “Model T Frame Lock Flipper” offers a 3.5-inch clip-point blade of S30V stainless on a titanium handle frame. As the name would indicate, the blade can be opened one-handed by means of a spine mounted “flipper.” Zinker can be contacted at 1591 NW 17 St., Dept. TK, Homestead, FL 33030; 305-216-0404; bradzinker@hotmail.com

LETHAL ENFORCER: Michael Stankiewicz’s “Enforcer” sports a 3.38-inch drop-point S30V blade that is a full 5/32 inches thick on a handle frame of camo G10. The blade opens by means of the maker’s own “Roto Lok-N-Release” assisted-opening mechanism. Black Bear Knives can be contacted at 273 Oneida Way, Dept. TK, Milford, PA 18337; 570-686-1778; blackbearknives.com

TACTICAL EXTREME: With its 4.5-inch S30V drop-point blade, Mike Franklin’s “Tactical Extreme” would certainly have to fall into the “magnum size” folder category. The handle frame is titanium with black G10 scales. Franklin can be contacted at 9878 Big Run Rd., Dept. TK, Aberdeen, OH 45101; 937-549-2598; mikefranklinknives.com
