Hogue Adds Five New Models to Automatic Folder Series

Hogue Inc. has added five tumble finished blades in three different styles to its all new line of automatic folding knives.

Hogue Inc. announced its line of automatic folding knives in August and the company has already added five new models to its auto lineup.

“We’ve added five tumble finished blades in three different styles, and two new handle designs in aluminum and G10 to our selection of automatic folding knives,” Neil Hogue said in a statement. “We’re driven to offer more options based on customer feedback as we start shipping to our dealer network.”

The five new Hogue auto knife models include tumble finished drop point, modified Wharncliffe and upswept blades deployed in four different frames, including a new aluminum version of the ergonomic EX-A04.

Featuring fine-grooved, precisely-machined scales in expertly-applied anodizing, the matte black aluminum EX-A04 is a slimmer version of its G10 counterpart. Choose either modified Wharncliffe or upswept, dual hollow ground blade designs at an MSRP of $229.95.

Hogue’s EX-A01 model, meanwhile, gets a new, distinctive, grid-like “Tread” pattern G10 frame equipped with a drop point blade and is priced at $249.95.

In addition, the EX-A01 aluminum frame auto knife is now offered with a tumble finished drop point blade for $229.95 MSRP.

Finally, Hogue’s popular one-piece, high-density polymer frame EX-A03 now includes an option for a tumble finished drop point blade and is priced at $189.95.

All Hogue automatic folding knives feature a robust button lock and a 3.5 inch, 154 CM hardened steel blade. Blade deployment and loading in the auto knife line is courtesy of a custom-made, proprietary music wire spring designed by famed spring maker Wolff Gunsprings.

Cool looking handle. I wanted something different from my typical choices, so I went for this one. Well built with a solid feel. I have had a lot of pocket knives, but this one and the one I got from this website are the best so far. I’ve used the serrated blade to trim back small branches in front of my tree stand and once again no complaints. This knife is extremely lightweight and comfortable in your hand and nearly effortless to use for any task you throw at it.
