Jermaine Scott, 31, and his 6-year-old daughter, Kira, have been living in Miami-Dade and Broward counties for the past few years. Scott, who has served more than 10 years in the military, most recently in Iraq in 2005, moved into his new home in Lake Worth thanks to Habitat for Humanity.
“It’s perfect. It’s absolutely perfect,” Scott said. “Everything is brand new. I’m so excited.”
“It’s great for us that we can help returning veterans find some decent and affordable housing here in Palm Beach County,” Habitat for Humanity of Palm Beach County Executive Director Bernard Godek said.
