One man is dead and at least 22 people were wounded from shootings throughout the city between Friday evening and Sunday night.

The weekend’s one fatal shooting took place Saturday afternoon, when a 20-year-old man — identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office as Anthony Bagsby — was shot multiple times in the chest in the 2600 block of East 79th Street about 1 p.m., police said

Bagsby, of the 7400 block of South Shore Drive, was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:33 p.m.

At least 11 people were wounded in shootings that occurred across the city on Sunday.

Three of those injuries came Sunday evening when three men were shot near a liquor store in the 200 block of South Western Avenue, police said.
