Bush grants pardons to 14 people

WASHINGTON – President George Bush has granted pardons to 14 individuals convicted of various misdeeds including drug offenses, tax evasion, wildlife violations and bank embezzlement.  Bush has been chary during his time about granting pardons.  Bush has granted a total of 171 pardons and eight commutations less than half as many as Presidents Clinton and Reagan, both of whom have served two-terms like Bush.
