WASHINGTON, D.C. – The House has approved the creation of a Justice Department office dedicated to helping university security forces train and prevent violent incidents on campus. The National Center for Campus Public Safety will issue grants to campus safety agencies and encourage research to improve the safety and training methods used to help prevent the occurrence of active shooters on campus.
