NEW YORK – A college student’s science project caused panic on a subway Thursday when it short-circuited and caused his backpack to begin smoking.  Passengers on the subway became frightened and scrambled to the subway car exits when the student opened a box filled with a battery, wires and motor for his now-smoking model of an elevator’s inner workings.  For more details on this story, click here and return back to comment.
