A store owner reportedly protecting his property shot and killed one alleged intruder and wounded two others early Friday morning on the city’s west side.

The incident occurred at about 3:20 a.m. in the Rightway Express party store in the 8400 block of Joy Road, near Ohio Road.

“The store owner, 51, was inside of the local business when he heard someone breaking into the building,” said Sgt. Eren Stephens.

“He armed himself and allegedly fired shots, striking the three males in their bodies. A fourth male was hiding inside the business and was taken into custody.”
