WASHINGTON – The Pentagon is changing its policy on cluster bombs amid international pressure to lessen the danger of the powerful explosives.  The policy shift, signed by Defense Secretary Robert Gates, requires that more than 99% of unexploded munitions inside all cluster bombs must detonate after 2018.  This marks the first agreement to modify bombs used by the DoD in ten years.  For more information on this, click here and return back to comment.
