WASHINGTON – The Pentagon’s internal watchdog office, the Office of the Inspector General, has warned in a report to Congress made public May 27 that its auditors are unable to keep pace with a ballooning U.S. defense budget.

The defense budget’s rapid growth to more than $600 billion “leaves the department increasingly more vulnerable to fraud, waste, and abuse,” the Pentagon’s Office of the Inspector General said.  For more details on this, click here and return back to comment.
