ATLANTA – A gun ban at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the world’s busiest airport, was upheld monday by a federal judge.  This comes as a blow to gun rights advocates who believe a new Georgia Law granted them rights to carry guns in certain parts of the airport.  The judge explained that allowing guns in the airport could cause economic damage and could become a “serious threat to public safety and welfare.”

Gun carrying is the 21st century equivalent of Reefer Madness. It is apparently a `widely-held belief that the mere presence of a gun will turn otherwise mild, law-abiding citizens into rabid killers. We laugh at Reefer Madness today; when will this anti-gun belief be seen for the superstition that it is?
