AL ASAD, Iraq — The Marine Corps used new parachutes for the first time in Iraq last week during a five-day training program, allowing jumpers to accurately test the gear in the same environment they will be using it in.

The multimission parachute system is replacing the MC-5 static line/free-fall ram air parachute system currently used by Marines, said Master Sgt. Monroe Stueber, operations chief of the 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion.  For more details on this, click here and return back to comment.
