Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons Awarded Noble Peace Prize

The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons has been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for "extensive efforts to eliminate chemical weapons."

The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, or OPCW, has been awarded this year’s Nobel Peace Prize for “extensive efforts to eliminate chemical weapons.”

In recent months, hundreds in Syria have been killed as a result of chemical weapon attacks.
