Religion is disputed in military academies

Students and staff at West Point and the Naval Academy…

Students and staff at West Point and the Naval Academy are complaining that religion has been pushed on cadets and midshipmen by faculty and staff members.  Similar to the Air Force Academy’s scandal over the evangelizing of cadets by Christian faculty members that occurred nearly three years ago, West Point and other military academies are wondering if they too will need to adopt guidelines that discourage public prayer during events or meetings.  For more details on this, click here and return back to comment.

“Hypocrites; buddha and muhammad didn’t pay your debt of sin with his sinless blood, Jesus did.”

To clarify, I meant that buddha and muhammad were both sinners. Jesus however, shed his sinless blood for you, not buddha or muhammad.

Accept the Lord Jesus now before it is too late.

Religion being pushed? Jesus is not a religion, he’s my Saviour and he can be yours. What those people don’t seem to understand is that if they are not born again then they choose Hell by default; salvation is by faith in Jesus and not by works; Christians are called to soul win:

In Jesus’ parable: “And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”-Luke 14:23

Jesus himself said: “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”-Mark 16:15

    Being born again is easy:

    1. You have sinned against God:

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”-Romans 3:23

    2. There is a penalty for sin:

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”-Romans 6:23

    3. Jesus died on the cross, was buried and rose again, victorious over sin, Hell and the grave:

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”-
    Romans 5:8

4.Jesus is able and willing to save you from your sin penalty:

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”-Romans 10:13

God wants you to believe his Word and recieve Jesus as your personal Saviour.

If you will then right now, in simple faith, pray this prayer, asking the Lord to forgive you of your sin and save you:

“Dear Lord, I know that I am a sinner. I know that Jesus died on the cross for me. Please forgive me of my sin, come into my heart and save me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” -Ephesians 2:8-9

“In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;”-
    2 thessalonians 1:8-9

As you can see from the verses above, you’d better be thankful that God cares enough about you to warn you through his servants. Of course, if someone is stubborn and refuses to hear the Gospel, of course we’ll pray for them but we must move on; others may want to hear it. Sometimes when witnessing to people, some say, ‘don’t push your religion on me’. In the first place, nobody is forcing ‘religion’ down your throat, you’re told the Gospel and it’s your choice: Jesus or the Hellfire. Secondly is that most people that make such a statement like that already have had their conscience convict them and some know the truth, but they refuse it.

It’s interesting how they want to discourage public prayer. Oh let’s tolerate everyone else, everyone can learn about muhammad or buddha or new age nonsense but if anyone talks about Jesus, watch out, they froth at the mouth. Hypocrites; buddha and muhammad didn’t pay your debt of sin with his sinless blood, Jesus did. Believe in Jesus and trust him, he is God in the flesh afterall:

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”-John 1:1

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”-John 1:14

“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”-1 John 5:7

Those are just a few examples above.
