South Korean Navy Special Forces stormed the seized Samho Jewelry on Friday, killing eight Somali pirates and freeing the 21-man crew held hostage since last week.

According to South Korea’s military, the operation, which was carried out early dawn about 1,300 kilometers off the coast of Somalia, also captured five Somali pirates.

I wish we would take more offensive action like this instead of worrying what everyone else in the world thinks about us. Sometimes you gotta push back instead of sitting on your hands and pretending nothing is going on.

Don’t mess with the RoKs! Good for them! If everybody operated like they do, there would not
    be a pirate problem.
