San Diego federal courthouse fragmented pipe bomb meant to inflict more damage

SAN DIEGO — The FBI released new information Monday about the pipe bomb that exploded in front of the federal courthouse in San Diego over the weekend. The bomb was made up of multiple pipes placed in some sort of a container and was designed not only to damage the federal courthouse, but it was also designed to fragment and create damage beyond the federal building.
