Shooters Take Center Stage at 2008 World Cup

hooters from around the world gathered at The Hill Country Shooting Sports Center in Kerrville, Texas, May 3 through May 10th, to compete in the International Shooting Sport Federation’s 2008 World Cup.

The majority of all participants shot Winchester® Ammunition AA® Target Loads while competing in men’s and women’s skeet and trap and men’s double trap.

“Winchester is committed to the shooting sports industry,” said Dick Hammett, president of Winchester Ammunition. “We feel that it’s important Winchester gets involved with excellent shooting events such as the ISSF World Cup.”

Members of the USA Shooting Team also competed in the World Cup, including those who qualified for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China.

Since 1999, Winchester Ammunition has been the exclusive ammunition sponsor of the USA Shooting Shotgun Team and will continue its long-standing support as the team now makes final preparations for the 2008 Olympic shotgun competition.

The International Shooting Sport Federation supervises sport shooting competition in the Olympic Games, World Championships, World Cups, and Continental Championships / Games.
