DAMASCUS, Syria – In the first meeting between Lebanese and Syrian officials since the 2005 assassination of former Lebanese prime minister, which some groups in Lebanon blamed on Syria, the two neighboring countries agreed on forming a committee to fight terrorism and control it’s borders. Lebanon and Syria also agreed to demark their borders and exchange diplomatic representation.
