Smyrna, Ga.– The Team GLOCK Shooting Squad won four titles at the US National Steel Championships, which took place on March 13-16 at the Skip-J Range in Anderson, South Carolina.

Team GLOCK used GLOCK 34 pistols to win or place in the following iron sight divisions:

Dave Sevigny– Steel Challenge Limited National Champion
Jessie Abbate– Steel Challenge High Lady Limited Champion and Lady “Steel Master” Champion
Randi Rogers– Steel Challenge High Lady Production Champion

Randi Rogers finished 2nd Lady behind her teammate Jessie in the Limited division.  Randi stated, “Steel matches are one of the most challenging shooting sports where I have competed.  I am continuing to learn and improve and cannot wait to compete again in the world championships.”

The squad had to fight through some tough weather conditions during the Open match.  jessie placed 2nd Lady with her S&J Custom GLOCK 17.  her overall total was good enough to earn a second consecutive Lady “Steel Master” National title.  “This is my second consecutive year winning the Lady Steel Master title at this match and I’m proud to hold the trophy– it represents all the hard work and effort I’ve put into training,” exclaimed Jessie.

Dave Sevigny finished a respectable 5th overall in Open division with an S&J Custom GLOCK 17 and 2nd place in “Steel Master.”  He missed the win by only a fraction of a second.  “I was very happy to win the Limited title.  There were a number of issues beyond my control, which took us out of the Steel Master title, but I never stopped fighting.  I’m proud of my teammate’s accomplishments once again and I look forward to our next Steel Challenge Competition,” added Sevigny.
