Two Milwaukee police officers, wounded by gunfire, are suing the store that allegedly sold the weapons used to injure them.

The Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence filed the lawsuit in Milwaukee County Thursday on behalf of Officers Alejandro Arce and Jose Lopez against Badger Guns.

The lawsuit alleges the gun dealer negligently and illegally sold a handgun and assault weapon used to shoot the two officers in November 2007. The buyer had a criminal record.

Badger Gun owner Adam Allan says he hasn’t seen the lawsuit, but says blame should be directed at the people who shot the officers, not his business. Two young males were convicted in the shooting that injured five people, including the two officers.

The 40-page lawsuit seeks unspecified monetary damages.

I am sure that if the gun store owner has done anything illegal, he will be prosecuted, and that should be it. For the injuring of the officers only the perb’s are to blame.

Is a shame see 2 LEO whith this stupid lawsuit. The B. C. G. V. is the real problem. En resumen son unos hipocritas oportunistas

Have they thought about suing themselves? After all, law enforcement officers are armed because of the increased chance they might be in harm’s way. No one forced them into their jobs.

I WAS IN A CAR ACCIDENT ONCE, MABY I SHOULD SUE FORD, THE GAS STATION THE GUY USED TO FILL UP AT, BRIDGESTONE TIRES, AND THE COMPANY THAT PAVED THE ROAD. AS LONG AS THE STORE OWNER FOLLOWED THE CORRECT PROCEDURS (NICS CHECK, …) IT IS REDICULAS

If the guy passed the NICS check for the assualt rifle, then the FBI is to blame. And if his county sheriff’s background check for the handgun didnt find anything either, then the county sheriff’s office is to blame. I worked at a gun store.
