In a move that mimics Big Brother, Metropolitan police officers in the UK will be ‘microchipped’ so each officer’s movements can be monitored by their commanding officers.  The new electronic tracking device, called the Automated Personal Location System (APLS), will affect all 31,000 servicing officers in the Met and will replace the Airwave radio system currently used to help monitor officer’s movements.  For more details, click here and return back to tell us what you think about the UK’s new plan.  Is this something you see coming to the U.S.?
