U.S. and South Korean fighter jets turned back a Russian…

U.S. and South Korean fighter jets turned back a Russian bomber jet after it approached a U.S. aircraft carrier during a training exercise.  As the Russian bomber flew closer to aircraft carrier USS Nimitz, South Korean and U.S. fighter jets approached the bomber, forcing the Russian aircraft to retreat.  After an unnamed Korean military official announced bomber’s presence off South Korea’s eastern coast, two F/A-18 Super Hornet fighters from the carrier and four South Korean F-16 jets were sent to intercept the Russian aircraft.  For details on this story, click here and return back to comment.
