  • United States Marine Corps. Sgt. Shamar Thomas from Roosevelt, NY served his counrty, and it is disrespectful to make a suggestion otherwise, since its factually wrong. The ex military personnel in most Occupy movements are homeless veterans. If we are a society of law and order, but a flawed one, can Grip identify one of those flaws, and suggest a remedy – besides ‘go piss off’? A soldier shall do what he is told. But no one should Believe everything he is told. When armed forces attack their own country men, then the mere existence of those forces is what provides nothing of value to society. Read a Book. You shame the people you served.

  • Cop/Soldier

This man single handedly disrespected his uniform self and branch of service. I guarantee he was not a Sergeant and defiantly not in the Infantry. His uniform was all disoriented and he was yelling at a bunch of Rookie cops. He is sure lucky there weren’t any ex military cops in the bunch. You ashamed the Corps.

  • Oz

My older brother is a Fireman, so i think thats probably where ill be heading.

  • Gegory

OZ, I have one question. When you no are no longer serving in the military what will you do, apply for a Law Enforcement position?

  • Grip

Grey, do you see the irony in calling it a “Militarized Police State?” Kinda bashes the guy in the uniform too……. Like I said, if there have been crimes of brutality then those people to come forward and I’m sure there will be complaints. What purpose does it serve to go into the streets and agiate a situation further by yelling and causing a scene. We are a society of law and order, flawed as the “system” maybe it’s the best one out there. I’ve said my peace and I back what say by actions mentioned in my previous statement. What do you do? BTW I don’t get paid to review the cases, I do it to make sure that the Police follow the rules, too……

  • Grey

Bash him all you want, I see the pride he has for serving as well as for his uniform. He wore it as a contrasting symbol to what the cops are wearing. you say its sad to watch a man belch his feelings towards a militarized police state, I find it sad that you cant see whats happening in this country. Ive been to the protests in NYC, cops ARE IN FACT HURTING UN ARMED INNOCENT PEOPLE WITH NO PROVOCATION.

  • Awlhattin O’Kaddle

I’ll bet anything that this guy is no Marine and never was. This was just a showboatin’ spade making a spectacle of him.self

  • Grip

Wow. That’s just sad to watch a guy do something like that. Where’s his own respect for the uniform he was trying to wear….. I train both Mil and LEO personel, and to be honest I don’t really like to train LEO’s. The rules of engagement for them are very strict and very Constitutional, I would say more so than MIL. IF and I stress IF there had been any legitimate incidents of brutality, than those “victim’s” need to go through the proper channels…. I’ve reviewed hundreds of hours of videos for claims of “brutality” and have only found a few cases to be legit. (Not in regards to this Wall Street junk) I respect every Mil personel I’ve met, but I have more respect for LEO’s. They keep the US from descending into a state where MIL’s would patrol the streets.

Hey Gregory, ive been home only seven weeks from serving over seas in OIF & OEF so take all your comments and shove them up your a$$, your words dont mean sh!t to me, your the worthless parasite ive done more in four years than you will in a life time! Im a fourth gen MIL and what this Marine said is true no matter what you say, dont make your comments about my comment make them about this video. “SEMPER FI”

  • Gregory

Sorry Tactical-Life, when someone trashes fellow LEO’s for no good reason, I am compelled to respond.

  • Tactical-Life.com

Hello all, let’s keep the comments relevant to the video content. Thank you!

  • Gregory

Oz, analyze the following statement and comprehend its’ meaning in relation to you. Your role in life is that of a parasitic infestation afflicting good people that have more to offer than just complaints. Your mere existence depletes valuable resources. You return nothing of value to society. The very air you breathe is wasted and could be better utilized by people that contribute to the enrichment to mankind. Take a long look at yourself and ask one question, if you have the courage to do so. Is there a single quality I possess that is of value to mankind?

  • Jeff

@Eric, the article does say he’s currently in college… that would kinda imply he’s not presently an active service member.

  • WaxWitty

Should have cracked the ” modern hippy ” ‘s head open.

  • AFSarge

Hey OZ, go troll somewhere else. Guess what, that guy isn’t a Marine, most likely never even served in any capacity. I am a retired military man and currently a civilian LEO. I’ve taken the oath of service and sworn to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States many times, both in the service and to be a sworn officer. Don’t pontificate here about the Bill of Rights or the Constitution, both of which should be capitalized!

  • Oz

GOD bless this Marine for standing up for the citizens and telling it how it is! These cowards in riot gear are just that COWARDS! They are all jack booted punks who have never read the bill of rights. out there harrasing the citizens and keeping them from trying to stand up for their rights, when was the last time they did anything constitutional? SEMPER FI!

  • Eric

Notice his poor uniform standards. Unshaven and his under shirt is untucked
