A free mobile app is now available to Virginia residents who want to report suspicious or criminal activity to state police.

A mobile app is now available to Virginia residents who want to report suspicious or criminal activity to state police. The free app, named “See Something, Send Something,” provides information on what to look for and when to report such activity. It launched on Friday. It is available for the iPhone and Android.

The app is not meant to replace 911, and should not be used by someone in need of immediate police action.
