Virginia Honors Fallen Officers

Virginia is looking at ways to honor three fallen officers that were previously killed in the line of duty.

Several months after Dinwiddie memorialized a Virginia state trooper who was killed earlier this year, the county is looking at ways to honor three fallen officers that were previously killed in the line of duty.

In July, Dinwiddie officials unveiled signs that dedicated a section of Interstate 85 to Master Trooper Junius Walker. Walker was shot and killed along I-85 in March after he stopped to check on the welfare of a driver of a stopped vehicle.

The section of I-85 was the first section of highway dedicated to a Virginia state trooper.
