Police this morning charged a woman who allegedly robbed a house of drugs and cash while armed with a chrome-plated handgun with pink grips.

Oak Ridge Police Department Lt. Jack Mansfield said the incident began about midnight when a woman kicked in the front door at 126 W. Holston Lane.

The intruder, who made no attempt to conceal her face, was armed with a .25-caliber, semiautomatic handgun with pink grips, Mansfield said. She stole prescription drugs and cash from the adult in the home that also was occupied by “a couple of small children,” the lieutenant said.

The woman fled without injuring anyone in the home.

Because the victim knew the intruder, police were able to locate the suspect about 1:30 a.m. at her Jefferson Avenue home, a few miles from where the robbery occurred, Mansfield said.

Police arrested Samantha Daniels, 23, without incident, Mansfield said. Officers found the handgun and stolen prescription medications. The cash was not recovered, Mansfield said.
