Friction-Forged DiamondBlades

A true cutlery breakthrough! Knives Of Alaska’s new super-tough blades are poised take the industry by storm.

The performance of knives and other forms of cutlery has been relatively static since the invention of stainless steel in the early 1900’s. Certainly, there have been some significant advances, but the simple fact is that a high-quality knife made 100 years ago can perform nearly as well as most knives made today. Well, that has just changed. Thanks to the efforts and research of Charles Allen, the CEO of Knives of Alaska (KOA), it is now possible to own a knife that will outperform any knife ever made previously, with regard to edge holding, toughness and corrosion resistance of the edge.

The development and patenting of what Allen calls “Friction Forging” of a knife blade’s edge has resulted in the “DiamondBlade knife line.” It has taken more than four years of research, testing and development, and the help of some of the top minds in the country to achieve the production methods necessary to produce the DiamondBlade line.
