For many firearm aficionados the name Smith & Wesson signifies revolvers. An entire generation was brought up to love and respect the Model 10, the 19, and the 29. Not so long ago insulting a man’s choice of S&W revolver was akin to insulting his religion. This was simply not done in gentlemanly conversation.
Fast-forward to the year 2007 and the New England gun maker has a new line that is threatening to eclipse their old image as the nation’s revolver maker. Unless you have been in a cave for the last few years, you know I am talking about the new M&P line. As a quick refresher, S&W has expanded their line of M&P modular, polymer-framed duty guns to include 9mm, .357SIG, .40S&W and .45ACP calibers. These are available in full-sized and compact models with black and dark earth-colored frames.
