Team Smith & Wesson starts off 2010 season with three divisional titles.
Team Smith & Wesson members earned three division titles during the first matches of the 2010 competitive season. Leading the team to a fast start were teammates Craig Buckland, Gordon Carrell and Jeff Degracia who won division titles in both International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) and United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) regional events.

Northern Kentucky University hopes to purchase $10,660 worth of Colt AR15 rifles.
Northern Kentucky University has been awarded $10,660 from the state Law Enforcement Protection Program (LEPP) to purchase patrol rifles, Gov. Steve Beshear announced Thursday.
Under the LEPP, administered by the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security (KOHS), appropriate agencies can seek financial help for certain defensive items essential in the course of their duties.

Dropped pistol fires, injures Salt Lake International Airport sky cap worker.
A Salt Lake International Airport official says a passenger dropped a hand gun that fired and injured a sky cap worker.
