TACTICAL CUSTOMS

The Folding Side of Blade 2011: The trend in tactical folders at the 2011 Atlanta Blade Show seemed to be toward heavy-duty but medium-sized knives designed for all-round everyday carry on and off duty. Most serious knife users will agree this is the type of folder that sees the most use by both law enforcement and military personnel. The S30V remains the preferred blade material, but here and there a carbon steel model like Brian Goode’s O-1 friction folder found its way into the offerings. One way or another, these makers have something to fill every user’s pocket.
