Quick Draw Ground System

Be one step ahead of your adversaries—your snubbie to the rescue!

As most of you know I am a huge fan of the short-barreled revolver and the advantages it offers in an extreme close quarters fight. So I was most interested to learn of the Quick Draw Ground System (QDGS).

The QDGS was developed around a snubbie in an ankle holster. Joe Maffei, who teaches reality-based practical fighting skills at his school in Waltham, Massachusetts, designed the system. I had to wait for the better part of a year before I was finally able to meet Maffei at the 2007 TREXPO East and to observe his QDGS class.
