Rockstar-Burke Dynamic Duo
Jim Burke introduces a new line of tough, practical production blades!
It seems like new production knife companies are springing up weekly. Case in point, Burke Knives. Jim Burke has been around as a custom maker for a number of years and has a reputation for turning out heavy-duty “EDC” (Every-Day-Carry) folders based on his experiences as a law enforcement officer. Recently, he has taken this one step further and set up a small factory to produce a design called the “Rockstar” in several different handle and blade configurations.
Knife Details
Starting at a base price of $300, the Rockstar is a 3.25-inch clip-point bladed folder with a length of 4.38 inches long closed. A choice of either G-10 or titanium (an extra $40) backspacers are offered on the integral Chris Reeve’s-style frame-locking 6AL4V titanium handle. Burke also provides a choice of either a diamond or straight-line pattern on the handle frames. The standard blade material is CPM 154 stainless steel with Damascus steel available for an added $150. A “hollow machined” CPM blade is provided as an option for an extra $25. All versions utilize a wide right-hand, tip-down, titanium pocket clip and a reversible thumb-opening stud.
