Holsters for the Model 1911 and J-frame—from High Noon, Tauris and DeSantis!

Our subjects include a synthetic holster from High Noon Holsters, a shark skin-trimmed rig from Tauris Holsters and a pocket holster from DeSantis Holsters.

High Noon Holsters’ pancake-style Skin Guard strong side hip holster is constructed of a flexible black nylon-like synthetic material. High Noon describes this material as a laminate that’s “a specially extruded laminate skin with a vegetable tanned leather backing.” The open top pouch fully encloses the pistol’s triggerguard to prevent premature access to the trigger to ensure a safe draw with a cocked and locked Model 1911 pistol, and has a large sweat guard projecting upwards on the backside, thus the designation Skin Guard.
