Inside-the-waistband holsters—perfect for full-sized 1911 pistol packin’!

We will examine three inside-the-waistband (IWB) concealment holsters made for large-frame autopistols, specifically the M1911 .45: the Preferred Concealed Carry Holster (PCCH) from Don Hume Leathergoods, the USD II Slim by Mitch Rosen and the Model 27 Inside-The-Pants synthetic holster by Safariland. Don Hume PCCH
Don Hume Leathergoods has established a reputation for producing top-quality police duty and concealment holsters for over 40 years. The PCCH is an IWB pouch holster constructed from separate front and back pieces of leather that’s double stitched together along the leading and trailing edges. This construction produces a natural tunnel for the pistol’s front sight. The pouch fully encloses the triggerguard for safety with a cocked-and-locked M1911 and is cut to present the gun butt for a full shooting grip with first-hand contact, and since it was wet molded it provides a secure friction fit without a safety strap or retention device.
