Move… To Save Your Life!

Don’t just stand there— move, shoot, survive!

One of the most basic of combative skills is moving to keep from getting punched, cut or shot. I’m sure that everyone reading this understands that a moving target is harder to hit, so just don’t just stand there and accept whatever may come your way, but move to save your life!

sog.jpgAt the same time, please understand that your adversary may also grasp this concept and also move. As a matter of fact, one of the few things that I can guarantee you regarding armed conflict is that when the guns come out, everyone in close proximity will scatter like cockroaches when the lights are flipped on. One of the reoccurring themes of this column over the years has been the necessity of practicing the concealed draw from whatever location you carry your gun—and do this religiously!
