Slide action rifle sidekicks with 870—for a user-friendly one-two punch!

THE STORY is a common one throughout the country. A law enforcement agency is considering a patrol rifle, but for one reason or another, they just can’t seem to take the plunge. Maybe the chief or sheriff is leery of arming their patrolmen with “black guns” for fear of appearing “too militaristic.” They don’t want to frighten the citizens by arming their officers with “automatic rifles.”

Other agencies take a more pragmatic approach and consider that both the time and expense of training every officer on a completely new weapon system are more than they are willing to commit. After all, few cops are truly “gun guys” and a semi-automatic, magazine-fed carbine would be foreign to many of them.
