Gunman open fired on children and adults at busy Los Angeles bus stop
UPDATE: The Gunman responsible for wounding eight people, five of which are children, at a busy Los Angeles bus stop has been apprehended. The gunman was aiming at a specific person but ended up shooting bystanders. Police were confident that the suspect would be caught because more than 100 witnesses were able to see the suspect and aid investigators in the search for the gunman.
Police are searching for a gunman who open fired on children and adults at a busy L.A. bus stop at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday. Officers are trying to figure out why a gunman, who used a semiautomatic handgun to injure 8 people, decided to shoot into a crowd of people just after schools let out. If one or several of those 100 witnesses had been allowed to be armed under California law, it’s virtually certain that the perpetrator would not have been able to shoot as many as 8 people and that his whereabouts would have never been in question.
