Sex offenders in N.Y. must reveal online aliases to the state
Web users continue to be protected from Internet predators under new N.Y. State Legislation.
Under legislation aiming to protect users of MySpace, FaceBook and other frequently visited Web hangouts, N.Y. legislation now requires sex offenders to reveal their online aliases to the state. The information will then be shared with social networking sites as part of a bill that is being expanded in order to protect Web users from Internet predators.
