C-130J Super Hercules

Super capable aircraft boasts multi-mission versatility!

Since 1956, the family of C-130 Hercules aircraft has braved some 50+ years of service. Many C-130s were employed in several wars including the Vietnam Conflict, the Indo-Pakistani War, the Gulf War and, currently, the War on Terror. The latest version, the C-130J Super Hercules, reached new technological breakthroughs to provide multi-mission capabilities for military, civilian and humanitarian efforts.

Aircraft Details
C-130J’s contractor, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company, a c-103j-2.gifleader in the design, research and development, systems integration, production and support of advanced military aircraft, is responsible for the redevelopment and modification of the C-130J. According to Lockheed Martin, the C-130 has the same capability as two C-130H aircrafts with 33 percent more payload (at 2,500 nautical miles) and 33 percent greater range (with 25,000 pounds) using half a crew, while burning less fuel and flying faster and higher. To reach 18,000 feet, it would normally take a C-130H 29 minutes, but with a C-130J, it can be cut down to 17 minutes
