Spain’s UOE Counter-Terrorists
Get ready to deploy with the Spanish Navy’s special forces!
Spain’s UOE (Unidad de Operaciones Especiales) performs the functions for the Spanish Navy that the US Navy SEALS do within the US armed forces. UOE comes directly under the control of the Spanish Navy’s Special Warfare Command.
The missions carried out by UOE include: coastal infiltration and recon, combat ship boarding, special reconnaissance, combat diving, direct action against enemy personnel, target designation, counterinsurgency, combat search and rescue, MAT (maritime Anti-terrorism), operations in the enemy rear, vertical envelopment through HALO (High Altitude, Low Opening) or helicopter insertion and other special operations as missions dictate.
