NEW DIMONA FROM ISRAEL
The master knifesmith team of Alex Shamgar and Meir Aziz has introduced their latest creation—the Dimona, in production by DU STAR of Tel Aviv, Israel. DU STAR has been at the forefront of hard-use tactical knives since the introduction of the Arad in 2006. Featured in the cover article of the July 2006 issue of Tactical Knives, the Arad survived “Cro-Magnon-like” tests that real-world special operations members put it through. The Dimona is based on feedback from the Arad. The Dimona is made of D-2 steel, treated to an RC of 57, with a blade given a Black-T™ coating, one of the most long-lasting in the industry. Blade length is 6-1/2 inches, overall length 11-1/2 inches. MSRP $270, plus $30 for optional leather sheath. DU STAR, 45 Kibbutz Galuyot Rd., Tel Aviv, Israel 66550. www.dustar-knife.com
