Ka-bar’s new FIN knives, designed by Peter Janda are available in either folding or fixed blade style. The folders come in four variations: drop point, straight and serrated, Hawkbill tanto straight or serrated. Made of AUS 8A stainless, the EDP-coated blade measures 2-3/4 inches with an overall length of 6-7/8 inches. The fixed FINs—also available in four blade configurations—are made of D2 steel and are powder E-coated. Both the included hard plastic sheath and the FIN’s handle are made of GFN-PA66 composite material. The “hump” in the back of the handle sits firmly in the palm of the hand and the user’s fingers fall into the recesses in the handle providing an extra-sure grip. MSRP is $140.
