CABELA’S GOES CUTLERY
The “World’s Foremost Outfitter” for hunters and anglers is ready to put knives in your mailbox! Cabela’s first catalog devoted solely to cutlery, featuring more than 500 products on 60 pages, will be arriving in knife enthusiasts’ homes in early November 2008. The catalog will feature hunting, filet, tactical, kitchen, collectible and everyday knives as well as multi-tools, axes, saws, sharpeners and complementary gift products. One knife prominently featured will be Cabela’s Bell and Carlson Gator Knife (shown), a marriage of Gerber’s popular Gator Knife and a comfortable, durable handle made by famed riflestock maker Bell and Carlson. EXTREMA RATIO POLICE
The two bladed Police folding knife is a great addition to any law officer’s duty belt or any first responder’s call-out bag. Blade one, a standard 3.3-inch cutting blade, gets activated via a liner lock and is suitable for general use. The second blade, which opens auto style to 140 degrees, has a blunted tip for safety reasons. It’s used for tasks like seatbelt cutting during rescue operations. The Police is just under 5 inches when closed and the blade steel is N690. For more information visit www.extremaratio.com.

BOKER COP TOOL
Boker USA collaborated with Wilson Tactical on this new tool that covers the gamut of LE, military, hobby and leisure tasks. The compact Cop Tool can be used as a lever, chisel, belt cutter, scraping tool, or as a multifunctional knife. The bead blasted, 1.75-inch blade is made of 440C stainless steel. Its textured G-10 handle helps users retain their grip under the most adverse conditions. The leather sheath allows for discreet in-the-waistband carry, or fits well on any gear belt. Weighs a scant 4.2 ounces. For more information visit www.bokerusa.com.

BLACKHAWK SMALL PRY
If dynamic entry missions are in your future, check out BlackHawk’s new Small Pry. This duty tool combines prying capabilities with a readily available cutting edge. It can pry open doors and drawers, break and rake windows, and serve as a tactical cutter (screens) as well as chopping through drywall. The Small Pry is machined from D-2 tool steel and is tempered to RC-55-57. It’s finished in a black epoxy powder-coat and feels good in the hand with its thermoplastic rubber handle. GREEN BERET SPARTANS
An innovative, high quality line of combat fighting knives is now available from Spartan Blades, a knife manufacturer formed by retired Special Forces NCO’s Curtis Iovito and Mark Carey. The two former Green Berets coined the tagline “Knives with Intent” for the modern warrior. The new line of Spartans is built to minimize bulk yet provide a lethal and functional edge. The knives are made of Crucible CPMS30V steel coated with SpartaCoat Tungsten DLC or Zirconium PVD and feature Torx hardware with an ergonomically textured Micarta grip. All models are available in flat dark earth or black finishes with green or tan scales. For more information visit www.spartanbladesusa.com.
