NATURALLY GREAT FOLDERS
Pat and Wes Crawford have done it again for CRKT. They’ve designed the Natural series that’s about as close to custom as you can get. Premium blade steels coupled with natural materials and the lightning-fast OutBurst assisted opening technology are making the four knives in the series must-haves for folder fanatics. The Natural is a 10.4-ounce, 3.88-inch bladed number four hitter in the lineup. The blade is of 8Cr13MoV polished stainless sporting a Crawford Marauder clip point with a scalloped top edge and dual ramped thumb studs. The three Natural 2s are similar in design to the big bopper but carry 3.25-inch blades and come with handles of natural white bone, natural jig bone or black Micarta. MSRP for the Natural is $99, while the smaller, but just as high in quality Natural 2s go for $89.

NECKERS FOR DEFENSE
Custom maker Dirk Pinkerton created two neck knives in his Variable series with input from an Ohio police officer looking for a true ambidextrous blade that he could deploy by instinct under crime-fighting stress. The BroadHead fit the bill for the officer with its easy to find finger hole and centered handle. The comfortable grip allows the handy necker to be used as a push dagger when you’re in a real pinch. The BroadHead is 4 inches overall with 1.5 inches of slice! The other Variable is called the Claw—another versatile, compact blade for self defense. The Claw is 5 inches overall with a 2.5-inch blade.
