SHOT Show 2007

Written by Terrill Hoffman. Author Archive »

The Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade Show is where it all happens in the cutlery industry. Here are some highlights of what we saw.

The ring of the New Year celebrations was barely winding down as the pilgrimage to Orlando, Florida, was beginning. Not everyone was running from the cold or even planning to visit “Mickey.” They were going to the “Mecca” of the outdoor world, the 2007 SHOT Show (Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade). Where else can you find every major company in the outdoor market (and hundreds of smaller companies) all under one roof? One really BIG roof!! Needless to say, for us the major draw is a chance to review the latest offerings from the knife companies attending.

chrisreeve.jpgOur review cannot cover every new design and variation on a design offered by every company. The Show is just too large to get to meet with everyone. We try, but each year someone will be omitted by pure mistake. Please forgive us if we missed your favorite.
